Tucked into the base of a north-facing hillside in the Los Angeles neighborhood of El Sereno, this audio composition was comprised of field recordings from the site and surrounding block, processed and distilled through digital effects. Framing the sound, the installation places the listener in the actual location of the original recording, provoking an internal dialogue between the listener and the idea of an individual’s physical position within a complex, tiered environment.
